LANDSCAPE CREW MEMBER

Award-winning landscape design and construction, Sustainable Landscapes, has a position open for Landscape Crew Member. We are a team of skilled landscape professionals based in Traverse City that is continually growing and we are in need of a Landscape Crew Member who has the experience and tenacity to match our goals and high standards. Our focus is on quality, customer satisfaction, and creating beautiful, functional, award-winning landscapes for our clients to make memories within and creating a prideful and fun work environment for our team. We offer competitive hourly pay with a starting wage of $18/hr, and a comprehensive benefits package.

 
 

Job Description

  • Work closely with crew leaders to implement landscape installation including patios, retaining walls, plantings, mulching, irrigation and much more.

  • Knowledge of installing various hardscape materials, retaining walls and irrigation systems is a plus but will also be taught to workers willing to develop these skill to grow personally and professionally.

Job Requirements

  • 1 Year previous experience with a landscape firm preferred but not a must. (If you are willing to learn and have a growth mindset, we offer all the tools and will train you)

  • Must enjoy outdoor work in all types of weather.

  • Strong work ethic and reliability is a necessary part of the job.

  • Ability to use or learn machinery such as track skid loader and small hand tools.

  • Ability to work in a team environment, including taking direction and constructive feedback from team members.

  • Be able to work long hours in varied weather conditions while lifting heavy materials often.

Schedule

Position open immediately with a start date of May 1st. The typical work day is 7:30 am - 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday during peak season.
